Renewals

To renew your certificate, you will need to provide a statutory declaration to verify that you have done a minimum number of 100 hours of locating in the past 12 months and confirm that you use the required equipment. Download the statutory declaration template relevant to your State below.

Once you have completed your statutory declaration, follow these steps to renew your certificate:

1. Enter your details in the form below
2. Update your contact details where required
3. Upload your current photo for the Locator ID card
4. Upload your completed statutory declaration
5. Pay the renewal fee of *$445 + GST

If you are unable to provide the statutory declaration, you will be required to undertake a practical assessment and present with the required equipment.  An additional fee of $595 + GST applies. Once you have successfully passed the practical assessment, your certificate will be valid for two years.

Please note that an additional late renewal administration fee of $100 + GST applies if your renewal is more than one (1) calendar month overdue.  This fee will be invoiced separately.

Please note that once you have renewed your certification, your annual renewal date will be valid from your expiry date for one year.

Conditions:

Any Certified Locator who fails to renew within one (1) calendar month of their certificate expiry date will be considered decertified and removed from the list of Certified Locators.

Any decertified Certified Locator wishing to renew their certification, will be required to enrol as a new candidate.
